Gaston Glock’s company, headquartered in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria, was founded in 1963. The company originally produced curtain rods, but in the early 1970’s they diversified into manufacturing
plastic containers, field knives, plastic magazines,

ammunition belts, and practice hand grenades for the Austrian military. The first ever Glock pistol was introduced in 1980, way ahead of its time. The original Glock 17, was chambered in 9mm parabellum, with a capacity of 17 rounds. The Glock soon gained the reputation for never jamming, which caused the Austrian Army to be very impressed with the pistol. The army soon selected the Glock 17 to be their official side-arm. The Enhanced Penetration Round (EPR) was engineered for applications where greater penetration is a must. The EPR has greater terminal success through glass and wood. This round has the ability to penetrate heavy skin, dense bone, and then fragment once inside the softer tissue of the target. The deep penetrating characteristics of the EPR make it the ideal round for street duty officers, as well as, serious handgun hunters. This round will also fragment on any surface that would cause a lead bullet to ricochet.

Air Freedom Round. This remarkable round is the terrorists worst nightmare. Under most circumstances, the AFR (Air Freedom Round) will not penetrate the skin of conventional aircraft, causing a decompression. It is also designed to not penetrate the aluminum backs of most airline seats, reducing potential collateral damage in the event of a shootout at 30,000 feet. Unlike rounds made of polymers that can generate lethal ricochet, the Extreme Shock AFR round will turn to harmless powder if it misses its intended target and hits a hard surface. It is the only round in the world with this level of performance and safety. This is also possibly the world’s safest home defense round, as in most circumstances, it will fragment in standard 1 half-inch sheet rock wallboard. This bullet runs at plus-P type pressures, and should be used only in firearms of good construction and good working order.

Extreme Shock Silent & Short Range Tactical Rounds. When utilizing the 5.56 Covert round with a suppressed M4/M16, the only sound produced is, the hammer striking the firing pin, and projectile impact. This round provides maximum stealth, is lead free, frangible, and environmentally safe. The Advanced Subsonic Product (ASP) was developed to meet the needs of today’s covert special operations teams, giving them astonishing stealth capability. ASP is designed for the Colt M4/M16 family of weapons, but can be adapted to other weapons systems. The ASP needs a suppressor attached to make it function in full and semi auto mode. ASP will fire in both semi and full auto mode, is not temperature sensitive, and requires no modification to the host weapon.

Extreme Shock Hunting Rounds. The FHVL grants the operator enhanced tactical capability, such as controlled penetration and increased ability to eliminate threats instantly, while eliminating ricochet and over-penetration liabilities. The FHVL’s explosive entry characteristics make it a favorite among the hunting community, because shot placement is not as critical in order to take down game.

The M249 SAW is a lightweight, gas-operated, magazine or disintegrating metallic link-belt fed, individually portable machine gun capable of delivering a large volume of effective fire. The M249 AR provides accurate fire approaching that of the rifle yet gives the heavy volume of fire common to a machine gun. The M249 replaces the two automatic M16A1 rifles in the rifle squad on a one-for-one basis in all infantry type units and in other units requiring high firepower. Fielded in the mid-1980s, the SAWS filled the void created by the retirement of the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) during the 1950s because interim automatic weapons (M14 Series/M16A1 Rifles) had failed as viable “base of fire” weapons.
